TECHNICAL
The
Technical Department of National Food Ingredients is headed by Caroline
Moloney, the Technical Manager and comprises a wealth of technical expertise
in the areas of research & development, quality assurance and food
legislation.
The
department provides specialist advice and assistance on all areas of
product development from product concept to production based on individual
customer requirements. All work is carried out in a confidential environment.
Regular in house training sessions with suppliers to National Food Ingredients
ensures that up-to-date technical knowledge,ingredients and applications
are utilised at the earliest opportunity for the benefit of the customer.
Quality
Assurance plays a prominent role not alone within the department but
throughout the company highlighted not insignificantly by the achievement
of ISO 9002 accreditation (1994 - to date) and the Quality Mark (1990
- to date). This function is supported by stringent raw material and
finished product testing, carried out in state of the art microbiological
and chemical laboratories. Specification and auditing requirements are
dealt with through this function providing rapid response to customer
enquiries.
Finally
the Technical Department offers current food legislative advice to customer
and is assistedby membership of the European Cereal Ingredients Association
and the Seasoning and Spice Association.
